Chris Yeh, General Partner Wasabi Ventures @NoPanels Summer 2014. Wasabi Ventures is a small venture fund that helps entrepreneurs to do amazing things. He is most interested in B2B & Touch Computing. Touch Computing is revolutionizing how humans are interacting & at the same time all the focus has been on the consumer side, very little on B2B side. That will be even bigger! What Chris likes to hear most of all is that the entrepreneur truly understands their market & who they’re selling to because often times entrepreneurs are very taken with their product. However someone who knows who needs it, why they need it & why they’re going to pay huge amounts of money for it – that’s what he really loves. The Venture Industry is going through a lot of changes, a lot of migration in the different stages. Early stage is very hot, late stage is very hot. Crowdfunding is coming up! So its very difficult to make predictions about what is going to happen in the industry so Chris likes to tell people to remember is that what investors do is help people to build great businesses. Ultimately if you’re a venture capitalist, you need to worry less what asset class you’re in or what is the stage you’re investing in & more about am I actually finding entrepreneurs who are building great businesses?
