Jules Walker, Director KPMG’s Bay Area Venture Capital Practice @NoPanels Summer 2014. Their practice focuses on emerging technology. Jules focuses on business development in the firm: he works with a lot of young companies who may not need the services of a large company like KPMG but they’re trying to find their way. He helps them develop their business plans, make introductions, help them get to the next level. Eventually these companies will need KPMG & they will be friends & can work together @that time. KPMG follow the money like everybody else like consumer internet, fintech, adtech & enterprise software is pro bably their main strength. They look @ the term & also the space. It has to be a space that will be a $10b business. Ultimately what they look at is the investors, if they have the top tier investors like Sequoia, Intel Capital etc. on their board. Those are the companies they want to align with.
