from Marisa Alma McGinnis “In the Summer of 2014 I was on your “speed pitching” #nopanels. The founder of Tempo Automation pitched me. He had 5 minutes. I liked what I heard. I asked him if he had a female co-founder, the answer was “yes” so I sent them to Golden Seeds. Golden Seeds funded Tempo. Tempo Automation, Inc. (located in San Francisco) just closed their $40M Series C round which was led by a major SF VC. I invested in the C-round along with Golden Seeds and the VC. The company has a valuation of $140M and expects to have an IPO in two years. Just another Pemo success story.”
Marisa Alma McGinnis, Golden Seeds & limited Partner Blumberg Capital @NoPanels Summer 2014. She does startup investing & real estate investing & is an advisor for a couple of startups. She is interested in early industries artificial intelligence, robotics & virtual reality. The most important thing to Marisa is the team because there are a lot of good ideas especially in Silicon Valley & she is looking for a team that can execute. There’s a lot of intermingling now between the angel groups & the vcs. For example Golden Seeds can go all the way through to Series A & not all that long ago after the initial seed round then the company would have to go the venture capital route.
