Shruti Ghandi Managing Partner Array Ventures. Shruti brings a strong mix of operating and investing experience. Previously, Shruti was an early stage venture capital investor at True Ventures, Samsung Electronics, Lightbank, HighBAR Partners, and the i2A Fund. Shruti started working with Machine Learning algorithms while working on her master’s thesis in computer science from Columbia University on understanding user behavior on instant messaging platforms. While at IBM she worked on self learning algorithms that detected user location based on IP addresses, which she later incorporated into the Lotus Sametime product. Later, her company Penseev helped users make better connections with their friends based on social data. When not investing, she is hacking on some app or thinking about ways she can be in many places at one time. Shruti also has an MBA from the University of Chicago, where she polished her finance skills before making the switch from engineer/founder to investor.
Muzzammil Zaveri (MZ) Partner KPCB & joined in 2015 and focuses on consumer and enterprise investments in the firm’s digital practice. He joined KPCB from Tencent, where he was part of the investment team in Palo Alto, CA focusing primarily on early-stage consumer Internet and core-tech investments. At Tencent he worked on investments in companies such as Scaled Inference, Vurb, CloudMedX, Tile, Satellogic, and Weebly to name a few. Prior to Tencent, Muzzammil co-founded Proxino, a Y Combinator (S11) backed startup in the JavaScript error detection space. He has spent time helping entrepreneurs build and develop their mobile products. Muzzammil spent nearly a decade of his early childhood traversing the globe before settling in the Washington, DC area. He received a B.A. degree in Computer Science from the University of Virginia.
MODERATOR: Dave Rosenberg GE Ventures from the fall of 2016. Dave brings more than 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur and investor. Prior to joining GE Ventures, Dave was head of technology investment strategy for the Invention Development Fund at Intellectual Ventures where he led the global technology and invention teams. In that role he incubated and spun-out five companies in two years while simultaneously developing a broad intellectual property portfolio. Previously, Dave was CEO and co-founder of Nodeable (acquired by Appcelerator), and MuleSoft (NASDAQ: MULE), an open source and cloud middleware provider. He’s held technical and marketing roles at the Linux Foundation, Glass Lewis &Co, Sprint, OmniSky, NorthPoint Communications, Lucent Technologies and Bell Labs. Dave holds a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
